Why the Talento keeps flagging a DPF fault
The Talento is built on the Renault Trafic III platform, and its diesel engines carry the same duty-cycle sensitivity as any van doing multi-drop or site-based work. The dCi units need a sustained spell of load and exhaust heat to burn soot out of the filter during a regen cycle. A Talento doing mostly short trade or courier drops rarely gets there, so the passive regen the engine relies on in the background never completes.
Drivers usually notice the DPF warning light first, sometimes with a flat spot under load when pulling away with a full van, and if the pattern continues the vehicle drops into limp mode within a day or two. Fault codes P2463 (soot accumulation) and P2002 (efficiency below threshold) are the two most commonly stored. What a chemical flush fixes on a Talento
The chemical flush is introduced through the Talento's existing DPF service ports, so the filter never comes off the van. The cleaning agent breaks down the soot and hardened ash that a multi-drop duty cycle never let the regen cycle burn away on its own. Once the agent has worked through the substrate, exhaust flow is restored, the stored fault codes are cleared, and the warning light goes out. The filter itself stays exactly where it is; nothing is removed or replaced.
