These terms apply whenever you book a job with Manchester DPF Cleaning, whether that's a DPF clean or a DPF delete. Please read them before booking. If anything is unclear, call us on 0161 694 7331 before you go ahead.

Who we are

Manchester DPF Cleaning provides mobile diesel particulate filter services, attending your home, workplace, car park, or site. We're powered by SGR Automotive, based at Plot Zero, James Nasmyth Way, Nasmyth Business Park, Eccles, Manchester.

Our services

We offer the following:

All services are mobile. A technician comes to you rather than you bringing the vehicle to a workshop.

DPF cleaning

a mobile chemical flush that clears a blocked diesel particulate filter in situ, without removing it from the vehicle. Fixed price of £275. This is a road-legal service.

DPF repair

the same chemical-flush service as above, marketed under a different name. It is not a separate process or a separate price.

DPF replacement

we do not sell replacement filters ourselves. Where a filter is physically damaged rather than blocked, we'll tell you honestly and you'll need to source a replacement, typically from a dealer or independent garage.

DPF delete

a software-based removal of the DPF from the engine management. This is for off-road, track and agricultural use only. See the legal disclaimer below.

Please read this section carefully before booking a DPF delete.

DPF delete is intended for off-road, track and agricultural use only. Once a DPF has been removed from the engine management, the vehicle is no longer compliant with UK road use emissions regulations. Driving a vehicle with a deleted DPF on UK public roads is against the law and the vehicle is likely to fail its MOT.

By booking this service, you confirm that:

Manchester DPF Cleaning and SGR Automotive accept no liability for any consequences arising from the vehicle being used on public roads, or otherwise used in a way that breaches emissions regulations, after a DPF delete has been carried out. This includes but is not limited to fines, prosecution, MOT failure, or insurance issues. Responsibility for the vehicle's use after the work rests entirely with the customer.

If you're at all unsure whether a DPF delete is right for your situation, ask us before booking, or seek independent advice. In most cases, a road-going vehicle should have a DPF clean rather than a delete.

  • You understand the vehicle will no longer meet UK road-legal emissions standards once the work is carried out.
  • You are having the work done for off-road, track, agricultural, or another purpose where road-legal emissions compliance does not apply.
  • You are solely responsible for how the vehicle is used after the work is completed, including compliance with any relevant laws in the setting where it's used.

Booking and payment

  • Bookings can be made by phone or email. We'll agree a time and location with you before confirming.
  • We carry out a free diagnostic before starting any chargeable work. We won't proceed until we've confirmed the fault and you've agreed to go ahead.
  • Payment is due on completion of the work, by card machine or bank transfer.
  • DPF cleaning is priced at £275 fixed. DPF delete pricing is confirmed by phone, as it depends on the vehicle and its intended use.

Cancellations and rescheduling

We understand plans change. We ask for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rebook.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice where possible, so we can offer the slot to another customer.
  • Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect our ability to offer future bookings.
  • If our technician is unable to attend due to circumstances outside our control (for example vehicle breakdown, severe weather, or illness), we'll contact you as soon as possible to rearrange at no extra cost.

If the fault isn't a blocked filter

Our diagnostic is designed to confirm whether a DPF warning is caused by a soot blockage that a chemical clean can fix, or by a filter that has physically failed. Occasionally the cause turns out to be something else entirely, for example a faulty sensor or an unrelated fault.

If this happens:

  • We'll let you know what we've found during the free diagnostic.
  • We won't carry out a chemical clean where it won't fix the problem, and we won't charge you for work that wouldn't help.
  • Where the filter has physically failed, we'll tell you clearly rather than attempting a clean that has no chance of working.

Warranty and guarantee

We stand behind the work we carry out. If a fault reoccurs that relates directly to the clean we performed, get in touch and we'll look into it. Our warranty covers the workmanship directly related to the job carried out, for a reasonable period following completion. It does not cover unrelated faults, general wear and tear, a filter that later fails due to a separate mechanical issue, or issues caused by third-party work carried out after our visit.

Liability

We take reasonable care and skill in carrying out all work. However:

  • We are not liable for pre-existing damage or faults unrelated to the work we're carrying out.
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the customer's use of the vehicle after the work has been completed, including as set out in the DPF delete section above.
  • Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
