Free visual check and diagnostic.
Before we start, we connect a diagnostic tool to your vehicle's OBD port and pull any stored fault codes. This confirms the DPF is blocked, identifies any related issues (such as a faulty pressure sensor or EGR fault), and gives us a baseline to verify against once the clean is complete.
Connect the cleaning solution.
Our equipment connects directly to the DPF's inlet and outlet points without removing the filter from the vehicle. There is no drilling, no specialist ramp required, and no risk of damage to surrounding components.
Flush the filter.
The chemical solution is cycled through the filter matrix under controlled conditions. The solution is formulated to dissolve and break down the carbon, soot, and ash deposits that have built up inside the filter, the same deposits that restrict flow and trigger warning lights and limp mode. This stage takes the bulk of the appointment time.
Clear fault codes.
Once the flush is complete, we clear all DPF-related fault codes from the vehicle's ECU. A clean filter in good condition will not immediately re-trigger them.
Test drive.
We take the vehicle for a short test drive to confirm the filter is flowing correctly and that no warning lights return. If live data shows the DPF back within normal parameters, the job is done.
Why chemical flush works
The DPF filter matrix is a honeycomb structure designed to trap particulate matter. When it blocks, it is not a single solid mass, it is thousands of small channels that have gradually closed with accumulated deposits. A chemical flush reaches all of those channels in a way that a simple forced regeneration cannot once the soot loading is too high. The solution breaks the carbon bonds in the deposits and allows them to be flushed clear, restoring airflow through the filter without damaging the substrate.
