What is a DPF delete?
A diesel particulate filter (DPF) delete removes the filter from your engine's software via an ECU remap. In most cases, the physical DPF is also removed from the exhaust system. Once complete, the engine no longer attempts regeneration cycles and all associated fault codes are suppressed.
It is a permanent solution, unlike cleaning, there is no filter left to block or degrade. For vehicles that operate in conditions where the DPF cannot regenerate properly, a delete eliminates the problem at source.
Who is DPF delete for?
Delete is appropriate for vehicles that do not travel on public roads. Common use cases include track-day and race vehicles, off-road competition vehicles, and agricultural machinery such as tractors and farm equipment. For road-going vehicles, the law is clear: a vehicle with a DPF removed or defeated cannot legally be used on public roads and will fail an MOT. If your car or van is registered for road use, cleaning, not delete, is the correct and legal route.

Vehicles used in short, low-speed cycles, or operated under conditions that prevent regeneration from completing, repeatedly block and require cleaning or replacement.
