The replacement bill on a Countryman
A new DPF on a Countryman is not a small bill at a dealer. An OEM filter fitted at a Mini dealership typically runs to £1,200 to £1,500 or more once labour is added, and the newer F60's twin-engine range doesn't make that any cheaper. Independents can usually source an aftermarket part for less, more often £800 to £1,000 fitted, but that's still a substantial decision for a filter that, in most cases, isn't actually broken. The point most dealers don't lead with: a blocked filter and a physically damaged one look identical from the driver's seat, warning light, reduced power, sometimes limp mode, and only a proper diagnostic tells the two apart.

R60, PSA-sourced 1.6 (2010 to 2011)
Early Countrymans run a PSA-sourced 1.6, the cheapest of the range to have replaced but also the one most likely to need the Eolys additive fluid checked alongside a clean.
R60, BMW N47 1.6/2.0 (2011 to 2014)
From 2011 the R60 moved to a BMW-built diesel, the N47, dropping the additive system, ahead of the newer B37/B47 units that followed at the 2014 facelift.
R60, B37 1.5 and B47 2.0 (2014 to 2016)
From the 2014 facelift the R60 switched to BMW's newer modular B37 and B47 units. Replacement parts cost more on the larger B47 given the bigger filter.
F60, B37 1.5 and B47 2.0 (2017 onward)
The current generation carries the same two BMW-derived engines. P2463 and P2002 are the codes we see most often across all three eras of Countryman. £275 covers the clean whichever engine is fitted. What happens on the day
We come to the Countryman wherever it's parked, run a diagnostic to confirm soot load and any stored codes, then introduce the cleaning agent through the filter's existing service ports. A controlled engine sequence works the agent through the substrate, we check the differential pressure reading afterwards, and clear the codes once flow is confirmed restored. The whole visit runs to roughly 90 minutes.
