The replacement bill on a Macan
A new DPF on a Macan is not a small bill at a Porsche dealer. An OEM filter fitted through the dealer network typically runs to £1,200 to £1,500 or more once labour is added. Independents can often source an aftermarket part for less, more commonly £800 to £1,000 fitted, but that's still a four-figure decision for a filter that, in most cases, isn't actually broken. The point most dealers don't lead with: most blocked filters are dirty rather than damaged, and a clean restores them for a fraction of what a replacement costs.

The Macan's diesel ran for one generation only, using the same 3.0 V6 TDI architecture shared across the wider Cayenne and VW Group range. No additive fluid; regen relies on exhaust temperature alone, and a Macan doing mainly short local runs can build soot faster than the ECU expects. What happens on the day
We come to the Macan wherever it's parked, run a diagnostic to confirm soot load and any stored codes, then introduce the cleaning agent through the filter's existing service ports. A controlled engine sequence works the agent through the substrate, we check the differential pressure reading afterwards, and clear the codes once flow is confirmed restored. The whole visit runs to roughly 90 minutes.
